I'm ben and I like code

Postby benji » 07 Nov 2016, 05:38

Hey, my name is ben and I thoroughly enjoy .NET WinForms coding, especially DirectX stuff.
I'm interested in fleshing out the 3d sections of tools, perhaps rebuilding it with SharpDX?

My largest weakness is Git. I think I understand how it should work, but whenever I try to use it everything falls apart around me.

Any pointers for beginning toolkit development?

Welcome aboard ! KFreon and SirCxyrtyx are our current devs, maybe they'll be able to help ? I'm not a coder, but I think this utility could prove useful to you : https://desktop.github.com/

Git is easy with Visual Studio.
Write code, commit to branch.
But yeah, reading is good.

The 3D bits do seem to need some work. Unless they've been worked on recently, they were mostly proof of concept with minor work.

Always good to have a new coder too :)
As for getting setup though, you'd have to talk to Giftfish and Sir.
