ME3 Profile Editor

Postby WarrantyVoider » 02 Jul 2014, 04:27

Most MP stuff is in the subsection for the emulator, but this I release as seperate tool. Its an editor for the "Local_Profile.sav" file in "C:\Users\*yourname*\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 3\Save". You should keep a backup, as this is "THE" (your) online profile file, which also happens to contain the galactic readyness value (open for RE). This took me a while to figure out, but was easy in the end. Here you can see the PID and authentication string highlighted:

this means I can "generate" these profiles for the MP emulator and dont have to share my credentials^^ (major roadblock eliminated :D)

Nice job. I was never interested in MP, but it would be nice to be able to modify galactic readiness.

Any chance you could release the source? I'd love to poke around the code.

Thanks. Much appreciated.

There seem to be six War Readiness values (int32 big endian?). One per each area plus the average?

I tried editing all six values from 50% (0x32)

to 75% (0x4B)

It works while I'm offline, but as soon as I go online they are reset to the original values. I imagine there is a serverside check that I should hijack, somewhere.

Most of the file seems to be just key bindings (except for the stuff you posted, which is out of my league). The header and the footer (where the readiness is) might contain some interesting stuff, though.

I'm sure you knew this already and are just letting us mortals have fun with it for a while :P. I figured I'd post it anyway, for future reference lol.

Nice tool btw, thanks for sharing. Are regular savegame files compressed as zlib too?

Two things I didn't post earlier:

1- The code scans for a pattern.

2- If the tool is unable to find your galactic readiness, then tell me.
