Not saying at all this mod is perfect, and it never will be, but I think I kind of want it out there and just see how it goes for my next PT and how others feel about it in general.
EDIT: I couldn't take it. I did one more revamp of Harby's voice. It's final. Testing went well tonight. I hope to post a link Saturday to the mod on Nexus.

Just when I was going to be rendering the WAV files of my Harbinger audio and send them to you today, lol....

Do you still want the audio or are you going to be going forward with your version instead for the mod?

LOL indeed. Well, if you would share them, I wouldn't mind having them because if I ever tweak LIME, I may use your versions.

Sounds pretty close. Damn that's a depressing ending (I think it goes from dead to end video a bit too fast, don't know if thats' fixable though). Maybe let shep be dead for a few more seconds.

Voice is pretty good, yours has a bit more of the... idk, like flicker? bass on/off/on/off than the original, but it's pretty darn close. If you have really low EMS do your allies get incinerated? I don't remember anything really changing at the end with regards to EMS except that one breathing scene.

Thanks on the voice. I don't think I'll ever get it right but with Goldwave I think it was slow Harby's speech down 15% but maintain pitch. Equalizer gets a full tick to the top on the left two most options for base, but lower overall decibels so it doesn't spike and then a mild reverb. I like AVPen's version too. I don't know, I have to let it rest for a bit at least.

So, where I really lack on modding is streaming states and conditionals and such. With LIME, it's either LIME - The Cycle Continues which is going to lead to everything bad happening, regardless of EMS. And then LIME - We Will Prevail where people can ride unicorns and eat lucky charms under the rainbow, but hopefully in a subtle way without feeling too contrived. Personally, I do like the idea of unicorns so I'm not making fun of people who like a happy take on the ending. ;)

If I ever tweak LIME - We Will Prevail, I might consider a little longer death pause there for Shep. It's so hard to know exactly how a scene will feel after a full trilogy run. Right now I've just been watching the ending over and over so it's getting tough to stay focused and think it through.

You did a pretty good job handling the anderson part missing. It is a bit weird seeing his sit there but it's cause I read that it was weird so I kind of was looking for it. I noticed you did some camera work too, nice touch.

scoutception wrote:Wow, watching that video, I've gotta say, I like. I like very much, especially in comparison to the version you have on the Nexus, because honestly, that was overkill. I really like how smooth it goes without TIM, the Catalyst, or the memorial wall scene. I think my only real criticism is that it leaves TIM without any sort of resolution.
And since we're talking about Harbinger, my personal theory as to why it doesn't shoot the Normandy out of the sky is because of the Reaper IFF keeps him from directly targeting it.

I loved releasing that dark ending of LIME. It's just so insanely dark; something different. But yeah, there's still a reason only 7 downloads have happened. Still makes me chuckle. And I'm not making fun of people who want to use it, it's just funny how not used it is.

Yeah, with TIM he gets no resolution and I will not just tag on a line in the LIME to CEM transition that says, "Yeah, they got 'em" or anything. :) So that is a story arc that just kind of floats away. Fob had a clever idea but I'm not skilled enough to pull it off. He said that TIM could be put in the death pose, moved closer to the player as they are walking up, and making him a POI where you can read something after his death, or possibly even hear a recording. But again, way out of my league of expertise to pull that plan off but I love that idea.
EDIT: OK, question to anybody reading this. Is there enough context to have TIM lying there in the crumpled up pose, have him say his "I wish you could see Earth the way I do Shepard. It's so...perfect." I'm gonna say no. I'm not sure if I can somehow get context in the game to have it make sense, and I'd still question why Shep would just walk up and not pull a gun or make sure TIM was not a threat. /EDIT

Never thought about that with Harby. I'll change his line to, "What the (@*@ targeting system. Why can't I line this *(*&$ up!!!"

I suspect one reason for only a handful of downloads is the game popularity is down. It's just people have moved on and the games are now "old" in the world of gaming. Revamping my own older mods that, in their prime pulled hundreds or thousands in fairly short order now get a dozen or so, top end, and
a handful otherwise. Traffic is way down. That and a large number of endings to choose from now. You have to share with the relative few gamers still actively playing the game.

I must disagree with you here, there are still a lot of people that regularly check the Nexus. ALOT has hundreds of daily views.

I see a lot of traffic too. Nothing like a few years ago but it's still there.

The bottom line is, for a modded ending, MEHEM and JAM are what people want. LIME is just mainly for fun and it's really not for most people I don't think; whether the TCC or WWP version. I just wanted to try it for variety and to see if I could pull it off. Sorta did, but I did cheat and use JAM as the base to help solve a lot of problems I otherwise would not have been able to fix. The amount of objects JohnP added to some of the files...very impressive work.

Anyway, I really don't care about the lack of downloads at all. I'm just excited to try a trilogy run in the near future. LIME just seems like the way to end it for me now, although I still don't know which version to use. I'll figure it out later. :)
