Postby envoy23 » 09 Apr 2016, 07:21

me3exploer insists on v8u8 format for norm texture. how do you guys get around this ? paint.net can not save as v8u8, is there a program that can convert dxt1 to v8u8, what do you guys suggest?

There is, and it comes bundled with ME3Explorer. It's called ImageEngine, and it's in the User Tools > Textures menu. (If you're using r653, it won't have it. Try the latest developer release https://github.com/ME3Explorer/ME3Explo ... s/tag/r748)

Use autofix, image engine on newer revs or photoshop, compressonator, directx texture tool. Plenty of options.
