Problem with manually installed hair

Postby alluclone » 15 Feb 2016, 18:19

So i wanted to install Nameislooney's rose custom hair without using texmod instead using ME3Explorer to change format from DXT5 to DXT1 and install through Texplorer. But the textures got messed up. When you look you character from far the hair looks blocky and no transparency. But when i get the camera really close to the hair, the hair is getting some shape. So what went wrong and i haven't seen anyone having this problem when going through all these forums.

Some pics what's happening

After 3 hours of converting DXT5 to DXT1 i ended up to this. I first got only black textures with no shape.

Now the hair has the shape but textures are all black. http://imgur.com/lUCsC1A
And this doesn't only happen on Looney's hair, I have tested couple others and does the same thing. Don't want vanilla the game after installing ALOT, that took about 7 hours.

We don't supply support for specific mods.

In addition, this question has been asked many times before. Take a look in "Other people's stuff", which is where your post will be moved to.

Given the amount of trouble everyone seems to have with hair mods, I think I can safely say I'm doing the Lords work by making them into DLCs. NameisLooney's mods are on my to-do list. In the meantime, check out the ones I already have up: http://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/425/?
