Testers Needed | Prep for v110 Stable Release

General news and announcements for ME3Explorer.

Looks like we may have a fix for ME1 :D

HOWEVER, it's possible that this could bork the replacement process for ME2 and ME3. Therefore all 3 games need to be checked.

Please download and check what you can :)

I'd say it's more likely to break ME1 installs.
I might just turn it back so it's like the stable.

That rev can "edit" external textures from the start, whereas the old stable can only edit them as part of the pcc list.
Poorly explained perhaps, but eh.

FYI, I tested the above and it looks like we're back in business for ME1.

Should only be 1-2 revs before the stable, wewt :D

@Everyone -- rev748 is out, wewt.

As of release, all outstanding issues on Git that had to be addressed before the stable were closed. So, it's entirely possible this may be the last rev. Please re-test any issues you submitted in the past rev or two, and then give all of K's tools a once-over.

If you test a feature, please list it below to save someone else the time :)

What I tested :
- TPF/DDS Tools autofixing with various formats
- I tried to break the checkboxes, without success
- Image Engine's new alpha functionality
I haven't tested texture installation.

Running list of tested content...

DLC Extraction/Pathing
Fully tested. Disabling no longer locks out tools. Pathing changes work. Extraction works.

ModMaker
Tested all tool features but "Update Job". Mod files now install again. All the scripting issues are finally fixed, but PCC Compare is broken again. I need both this and the scripting functional at the same time before I can test installing .mod files made for DLC mods TO DLC mods.

Was able to verify .mod installation to a DLC mod finally. Works great, but the .mod must be explicitly made for the DLC mod. Could be very handy for mesh mod incompatibilities. Have not yet verified proper install of .mod assets in game. Verified proper install of ELE's Varren on Normandy mesh .mod as a test.

Texplorer
Treebuilding for all 3 games. Update ALL TOCs. Help. Rebuild DB. ME2 DIFF replace. Add DLC to Tree. ME1 texture replacement (Avina). Regenerate thumbs. TPF Mode. Export Tree (both types). ME2 texture replacement (Kasumi, Miranda). ME3 texture replacement (robot dog).

I added in several mods but no matter what I did I could not get facial textures to work from the ME3 Character Texture Overhaul. I usually ended up with texture slot two working but one and three gave me a black oval on the face. Other than that, worked fine

You should report this on Git and provide more information, screenshots, etc. This sounds like it could be an alpha issue, but we need more details.

I took the Beta ME3explorer and rebuilt the tree, reloaded the ME3 Character Texture Overhaul and it worked fine. One note, however, when completed and it is checking TOC values it just says it is checking and never stops (I let it sit for 30 minutes). I manually stopped it and booted the game with no issues.

Which tool were you using during the TOC hang?

And, you're sure you were using rev748? I ask b/c I've tested ModMaker, TPF Tools, and Texplorer myself and never got a TOC hang, so I already know we won't be able to replicate (and fix) whatever caused the problem.
