dunno, this is not of my research interest, my focus is on level meshes, but in general you can clone/add any object thats referenced by a level object. looks like I have to make alot tutorials again before someone can use this^^ btw, how this was done: cloned the InterpActor and its StaticMeshComponent. edited Interps props to reference the clone STMC and the STMC got linked (link in export table) to the interp object. then finally the levelobject got the new interpactor included and from then on I could move the new object around seperatly. I want to be able to import that from another pcc, not just by cloning/adding, so I have to test alot first

Hi WV, I'm experimenting with ME3 Creator but I can find a way to move/clone an object, the option is in grey, am I missing a step ?

only if you click a staticmeshactor or interpactor, some staticmeshcollectionactors have alot objects called "staticMeshActor_SMC" but its a staticmeshcomponent. in staticmeshcollections the different subactors are translated with matrices, in staticmeshactor/interpactors its done via "location", "rotation", etc properties, so it was easier to implement.

New static mesh tool

yeah, I could need *YOUR* help :D im currently reversing the UPK-StaticMesh format, so I can make a UDK to ME3 staticmesh import (including proper lighting and collision stuff). I think im done with 99% of it, but you know its the last 1% that could trigger an error. also usually on MY pc everything works fine, just not on others, so thats actually good for testing this^^ and heres how it goes:

-you need some static meshes lying around in upk format (import as ASE, 3dsmax can convert psk to ase f.e., psk is used for skeletal stuff, so thats why. WHAT mesh you import or if its from a fully different source, doesnt matter. just import it into UDK and save it as UPK)
-pool them in a folder
-download my little test tool I wrote for this: https://www.mediafire.com/?ukvapvuaf2k0tt0
-select open folder and select your folder with the upks in it
-it will run through all upks and tries to read all static meshes, also tells how much of the binary was processed, as long as its above 90% or so its all fine. BUT it could throw errors or stop earlier, so once you find a upk/mesh that my tool crashes/makes an error/does not fully read please send me that package, so I can further improve on the format
